Early Life and Persecution

Simon Thapa, born into a Hindu family in Bhutan, faced persecution for his conversion to Christianity in 1991. Due to this, Simon and his family were evicted from their home by his parents, leading them to live in a chicken coop and start a house fellowship with other believers.

Resettlement in the US

In 2009, Simon Thapa and his wife Solomi were resettled in the US through World Relief, Atlanta. Simon began his work at Goodwill and later at Fieldale Farm, showcasing his dedication and hard work ethic.

Community Impact

In 2012, Simon started a church in Atlanta with just a few members, which has now grown to over 100 strong. Despite facing challenges like his wife's accident and the loss of a daughter, Simon's dedication to building a community for development has been unwavering.
